Michael Hawkins
The University of Mississippi Head Coach is Michael Hawkins, 38, who enters his fifth season with a record of 14-33 in charge. A Florida Ridge, Florida native, Hawkins played his college football at the University of Northern Illinois, graduating in 2047. His first coaching position came in 2054, where he was the Special Teams Coordinator for the University of South Alabama. He left a mark in his one year in Mobile, enough to receive an offer to coach at the University of Oregon, where he spent the following two seasons. Hawkins learned valuable coaching skills from Stuart Hollis (golden_7) and Gene Weiner (RGriffin3) during his time in Eugene. The University of Mississippi offered Hawkins their head coaching position following the 2056 season, and Hawkins did not hesitate to accept. The Rebels football program has been in mediocrity for over 30 years, but Hawkins is sparking a culture change around Oxford that the fans are starting to buy into.
